Event Description: Storytime for children birth through age 5 and their families, caregivers and siblings. July 29th, Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. on the main floor of the Cobleigh Public Library (we will be taking August off but meeting again Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. starting September 9th) in collaboration with Lyndonville Early Headstart. A fantastic time to borrow books from the Cobleigh Bookmobile, enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and a rhyme from the host puppet Becky! With a “letter of the day” and a focus on one of the six early literacy skills, songs, crafts and the opportunity to meet new library friends! Also, don’t miss: Free meals for kids 18 and under! (no application, no registration) at Powers Park at 11:00-12:15 and at the Darling Inn Meal Site from 12:00-12:30 p.m. After Storytime walk over to one of these sites and enjoy your FREE lunch!

We will be choosing books, nominated for the current Green Mountain Book Award (GMBA), to read on our own time then meet as a group and try to spark (or not!) other’s interest in the book while working on a science themed craft or activity. Event Description: St J Auto is a proud sponsor of the Nick Sweet Racing Team AND the popular "Mechanical Bull" so we asked them to spend the afternoon with us and our customers so we can check out their new rides. Event Description: Annual Literacy Fair with performance by the “Swing Peepers” August 8th, Friday from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the gym of the Lyndon Municipal Office Building, Located at 119 Park Avenue, Lyndonville Ever inventive, spontaneous and responsive to kids, John and Matthew of the Swing Peepers take families on a fun and participatory journey through the world of science, nature, and discovery. Instruments strummed, swung, and tapped include: guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, ukulele and accordion. Come sing, move, fizz and boom along with the Swing Peepers! Event Description: Event Description: The Melissa Jenkins Memorial Fun Run is a family event to benefit the Danville High School scholarship in Melissa's name. The walk/run is a 5K organized by Dan Wyand, P.T. & Associates that will be held at the Danville School on Saturday, August 9th. Registration is at 7:00am and the walk/run begins at 8:00am. Registration is $20 for participants; ages 12 and under are free. Event Description: Vermont Author Grannie Snow will be reading her books Big Ole Striped Silas and Silas Gets a Sister at Kingdom Animal Shelter in St. Jay Center on Saturday Aug 9th at 1:00 and 2:00 pm. A portion of the proceeds with go to Kingdom Animal Shelter. There will be refreshments to purchase and you can buy the books and we will be open for adoptions of cats as well. It is an education and support group that meets on the first Saturday of most months from 1:00-3:00 in the Community Room at the Community National Bank in Derby. The first meeting is Saturday, September 6th. The meetings are FREE and open to the public. ALL are welcome to attend. Whether you have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, have a family member who has been diagnosed with osteoporosis, or whether you simply want to learn about osteoporosis, you are welcome at the meetings. There will be a variety of guest speakers and medical specialists sharing their expertise as it relates to osteoporosis. Seating is limited, so please register early.
