The 4th of July weekend is here and there are many area celebrations you can take part in starting TODAY!
This morning, the Island Pond Independence Day Celebration, 11 a.m. parade, fireworks at dusk.
Tomorrow, another Fireworks display at Joe’s Pond in West Danville, Vt., Start time at dusk. There’s also a Fundraiser for Pope Memorial Library from 2-5 p.m. at the Joe’s Pond Clubhouse. Several Vermont distilleries, wineries and brewers will be there along with food by local chefs
The Willoughby Lake Board Parade takes place from 3-4:30 p.m. The Lineup is at Crescent Beach.
And Independence Day, Monday, the Fourth of July, North Danville has their parade at 10am. Activities throughout the afternoon include concessions, tractor roulette, a book sale, live music, church luncheon, history display, and the Dickie Vance Memorial Run.
Derby has its Independence Day Parade, 10 a.m with activities all afternoon. And Newport kicks off its July 4th Celebration at Gardner Park, concessions open at 5 p.m., live music by Evansville Transit Authority at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
