Vermont State Police responded to a reported shooting outside Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury this morning. Initial reports from the scene indicate that one person is dead and others may have been injured in the incident. The reported shooting was in Parking Lot A across the street from the hospital. Police say the exact circumstances of this incident are evolving and are currently unknown. The hospital is secure. Troopers from multiple Vermont State Police barracks, including St. Johnsbury and Derby, have responded to the scene, along with detectives from the Major Crime Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigations. No one is currently in custody. Scanner reports say police are looking for a silver Jeep Wrangler with Connecticut license plates in connection with the incident. CALEX Ambulance and Caledonia County Sheriffs are also reported to be on scene. Police are currently conducting interviews at the scene.
