Town officials in Burke are preparing to launch their new rental registry. It’s meant to keep track of the number of short- and long-term rental properties in town. Starting July 1, owners of short-term units, like Airbnbs, must pay $45 per unit annually, while owners of long-term rentals will pay $35. Each will also need to show proof of a development review board permit.
