A judge on Monday ordered a Lyndon man to serve a probationary sentence
A judge on Monday ordered a Lyndon man to serve a probationary sentence for multiple offenses, including the assault of an emergency room doctor. Austin Emmons, 21, was sentenced to four years on probation on a deferred sentence by Judge Michael Kainen in Court at a change of plea hearing. It was a hearing that the court has been trying to hold since Jan. 14. On that day, he failed to show up for court, and an arrest warrant was issued. Emmons pleaded guilty on Monday to charges against him. He was accused of simple assault on a protected professional, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drunken driving, disorderly conduct, three counts of violating conditions of release related to violent behavior, possession of regulated drugs, and possession of firearms.
