Youth Offender Law Delay Likely in Vermont

Another delay in a law to raise the age of youthful offenders in Vermont appears likely. But lawmakers say resources at the Vermont Department for Children and Families are stretched thin and don’t have the capacity to take on new cases. House lawmakers on Thursday are expected to approve delaying the law that would then go into effect in 2027
