A deal to imprison a man responsible for a shooting death could have been a longer prison term
A deal to imprison a man responsible for a shooting death in the NVRH parking lot three years ago, could have been a longer prison term. Jerry ‘Mike’ Ramirez, 38, pleaded no contest on Monday to a charge of manslaughter. He killed 44-year-old Vincent Keithan on March 1, 2022. Ramirez was initially charged with second-degree murder, which carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 20 years with a potential maximum of life. The plea deal, calls for a prison term of 10 years. The sentence won’t be finalized until a judge agrees to it.
