A dramatic multistate manhunt that included the suspect shooting
A dramatic multistate manhunt that included the suspect shooting at officers ended in an arrest on Wednesday. Police say early Wednesday morning, they received a report of a man in Brattleboro who fired a shot into the air. They identified him as Shane Eskra of Brattleboro, but they couldn’t find him. Two hours later, police in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, got a report of a man with a handgun screaming in the parking lot of Runnings, a sporting goods store. Police say while they were responding to that location, Eskra crossed back into Vermont where he was found by Brattleboro police. He then crossed back into New Hampshire, where he was cornered by Hinsdale officers in a wooded area. There, he shot at officers. He was eventually arrested and is due in court on today.
