An out-of-control concrete truck crashed into more than a dozen vehicles
An out-of-control concrete truck crashed into more than a dozen vehicles when it went off the highway in New Hampshire and careened through two parking lots. It happened Monday at about 1:30 p.m. in Concord near the Park & Ride on Stickney Avenue. New Hampshire State Police say the empty truck was headed south on Interstate 93 when they believe the driver suffered a medical event and veered off the road near Exit 14. The truck struck a guardrail, went through a chain-link fence and down an embankment into a parking area near the Concord Coach Lines bus terminal on Stickney Avenue. The truck hit and damaged 10 vehicles as it went through the parking lot. It then crossed the road into another parking lot, where it crashed into six more vehicles before finally stopping. Police say in all, the truck hit and damaged 16 vehicles. The driver, Scott Long, 57, of Alton Bay, was taken to the hospital. Police believe he suffered a medical episode.
