Another plea deal may be in the works for a Vermont woman accused of murdering her husband

Another plea deal may be in the works for a Vermont woman accused of murdering her husband. Angela Auclair is accused of murdering her husband, David, with the help of her son Kory Lee George in July 2019. He was found shot to death at a Hinesburg trailhead in July 2019. George pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and will remain behind bars for at least 13 more years after being sentenced in April. As part of the deal, he stated that it was actually Auclair who pulled the trigger. The status of Auclair’s case has been unclear after she took a plea earlier this year but then requested a new lawyer, claiming inadequate representation. At a status conference Tuesday, the court learned that with a new lawyer on the case, another offer is on the table from state prosecutors. Details of the deal are expected next month.
