Authorities say a Vermont man was arrested for possessing child sexual abuse materials
Authorities say a Vermont man was arrested for possessing child sexual abuse materials. The Vermont Attorney General’s Office says Wentworth Comes, 83, of Hancock, pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment on Monday. Officials say tips from Microsoft about files of suspected child abuse materials uploaded onto their cloud storage servers triggered an investigation into Comes by the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Investigators say they found child abuse materials during a search of Comes’ laptop and an SD card. Vt. Superior Court Judge David Fenster released Comes on conditions that include restricted access to children, electronic devices and the internet.
