Federal transportation funding is on the way to Vermont to repair damage
Federal transportation funding is on the way to Vermont to repair damage caused by this summer’s flooding. The U.S. Department of Transportation on Monday announced $6 million in emergency relief funding to pay for road and bridge repairs after the remnants of hurricanes Beryl and Debby ravaged the state this summer. The money will reimburse VTrans for the costs of clearing and repairing roadway infrastructure impacted by flooding. It’s estimated the damage from those storms exceeds $32 million.
