Memphremagog Watershed Association (MWA) will be holding its Annual Meeting
Memphremagog Watershed Association (MWA) will be holding its Annual Meeting August 10, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Le Belvedere Restaurant on the Newport waterfront. It kicks off with a brief business meeting to include board elections, followed at 6:15 by a guest speaker. The public is welcome to attend, and there will also be a remote link to the meeting. MWA’s guest speaker for the evening is Kate Forrer, executive director of Vermont Woodland Association (VWA). She will explore the timely topic of how forest stewardship can not only improve watershed health, but also increase watershed resilience to the effects of a changing climate. The MWA is a member-based, volunteer, nonprofit organization founded in 2007, dedicated to the preservation of the environment and natural beauty of the Memphremagog Watershed and to ensure its protection for generations to come.
