North Troy Drug Raid Sees Tactical Police Action

Authorities were on the scene of a reported drug raid Tuesday morning in North Troy. A large number of Vermont State Police and Essex County Sheriff’s cruisers were on scene around 9 a.m. with officers wearing tactical gear. Police say they were executing a search warrant as part of a drug investigation. No injuries were reported although an ambulance was also on scene. Cruisers could be seen blocking off a section of Railroad Street between School and Elm Streets near the firehouse. Police say they will not be able to provide additional details because of the age of the person involved.
