A Rutland day care provider convicted of providing a fatal dose of a nonprescribed antihistamine to a 6-month-old wants a new trial. Stacy Vaillancourt was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison last March after a jury found her guilty of manslaughter and child cruelty charges. Harper Rose Briar died in 2019 after a deadly dose of a common cold remedy that can cause drowsiness.
