Skiers and riders at the American Cancer Societys 14th annual Hope on the Slopes at Jay Peak Ski Resort honor cancer survivors

Along with a day in the outdoors, skiers and riders at the American Cancer Society’s 14th annual Hope on the Slopes at Jay Peak Ski Resort honor cancer survivors and spread the word about reducing the risk of cancer through screenings, and raise funds for the American Cancer Society. They’ll hit the slopes Sunday, March 3, to remember those no longer with us in this annual event. Hope on the Slopes started with a team named Buddy’s Angels. These volunteers partnered with Jay Peak and ACS to create Hope on the Slopes in memory of a longtime Jay Peak employee. The event honors Buddy each year by awarding the Hope Spirit award. This is a meaningful day for volunteers.  In addition to a day of skiing and riding, there is a bake sale, a silent auction, and the 10th annual rubber duck race. The day concludes with an awards ceremony with dinner and live music. For more information visit hotsjaypeak.org.
