State prosecutors Tuesday continued to present their case
State prosecutors Tuesday continued to present their case to the jury in the murder trial of Joseph Ferlazzo. Prosecutors say Ferlazzo and his wife, Emily, got into an argument during their one-year anniversary camping trip in 2021 and that Ferlazzo shot Emily twice, stabbed her, and dismembered her. Investigators with the forensic lab testified about what they found in the camper van, confirming that DNA evidence on knives and bullets matched Emily. Ferlazzo has claimed self-defense, saying Emily was abusive towards him in the moments leading up to the murder. But prosecutors say it was an intentional killing that was then covered up for days. The state is expected to bring one more witness before they rest their case.
