Vermont State Police have arrested a 2nd suspect
Vermont State Police have arrested a 2nd suspect in connection with a fatal Waterbury shooting earlier this month. Samuel Niyonsenga, 18, of Springfield, Mass. is due for arraignment today on a charge of accessory to second-degree murder. Police say he took part in a drug-related incident at the Kneeland Flats Trailer Park on October 14 during which Shawn Spiker, 34, of Croydon, New Hampshire, was fatally shot and Michael S. Perry, 57, of Waterbury was wounded. Fabrice Rumama, 20, also of Springfield, pleaded not guilty Monday to second-degree murder in Spiker’s death. Niyonsenga is being held without bail.
