Police Department received multiple calls of a male smashing the windows
On Feb. 6, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the St. Johnsbury Police Department received multiple calls of a male wearing khaki shorts and a grey shirt smashing the windows from the RCT bus stop on Portland Street. The St. Johnsbury Police Department responded to the bus stop, and a witness pointed to Michael Farnsworth of St. Johnsbury. Farnsworth was wearing a grey shirt and khaki shorts and standing behind an adjacent building. Farnsworth then fled on foot behind the building, traveling towards Elm Street. Police intercepted him on Elm Street. Farnsworth resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground. Witnesses provided cell phone video of Farnsworth smashing out the glass with a brick. Police charged Farnsworth with unlawful mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was cited to appear in court on March 18 at 8:30 a.m.
