A federal grand jury has indicted an East Ryegate man
A federal grand jury has indicted an East Ryegate man connected to a shooting and a chase with U.S. Marshalls last week. Authorities say the firearm and drug charges against Douglas Reynolds, 36, are connected not to last week’s chase, but a previous incident in January where he was arrested in Bradford. He faces one count of possessing a firearm while unlawfully using a controlled substance and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Reynolds is currently in New Hampshire state custody after a reported shooting in the Northeast Kingdom that involved an alleged assault on a U.S. Marshal and a pursuit that began in New Hampshire and ended along Route 5 in Ryegate last Thursday. Reynolds will be arraigned once he is brought into federal custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
