An out-of-state felon, found with a loaded gun and fentanyl in Burlington

An out-of-state felon, found with a loaded gun and fentanyl in Burlington while trying to flee from law enforcement, has been ordered held on federal drug and gun charges. Jaquan Rivera, 25, of New Britain, Conn., was captured after he jumped out of a window at 86 Oak Street when Burlington Police were attempting to find a bank robbery suspect, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Rivera was not the suspect in the bank robbery but was found with a loaded 9-mm pistol in his right sock and bags of fentanyl on Oct. 30th. Rivera had more than 2 ounces of fentanyl, federal officials said. He was charged with possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon,  possessing of fentanyl, and conspiracy to distribute.
