Two people are in critical condition after a driver hit two pedestrians

Two people are in critical condition after a driver hit two pedestrians in South Burlington. It happened on the on-ramp to Interstate 189 East just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Vermont State Police say Jeffrey Fray, 61, of Richmond, hit April McMahon, 54, of St. Albans, and Todd Brissette, 61, of Burlington, while they were in the crosswalk on the ramp to 189. When police arrived, Brissette and McMahon were being treated on the scene and were later brought to the hospital. McMahon was reported to have serious life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for about an hour and a half Wednesday night.
