Maidstone Man Jailed for Firing Gun Toward Neighbors Home Faces Assault and Endangerment Charges

A Maidstone man was jailed on Tuesday after state police arrested him on an accusation that he fired a gun multiple times in the direction of his neighbor’s home on Huntington Road. Larry Mclain, 68, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment. About 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, State Police were contacted by Marcel Sirois, 63, who reported his residence had been shot at multiple times by his neighbor. State Police investigated and determined Mclain had fired a gun in the direction of Sirois’ residence. The residence was not struck and there were no injuries. Mclain was arrested and held without bail at Northern State Correctional Facility. He was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday at Essex Superior Court.
