Rutland Police Chief Injured During Arrest of Uncooperative Suspect Eric Loyer Taken into Custody
Rutland’s police chief experienced multiple injuries during the arrest of a uncooperative suspect, according to court paperwork. Rutland police say Eric Loyer resisted arrest Wednesday when an officer tried to bring him to the ground. During the scuffle, Chief Brian Kilcullen fell to the ground too. Court paperwork showed he was bleeding from the nose and forehead as a result of the fall. Kilcullen was transported to the hospital but suffered only minor injuries. Loyer was arrested on multiple warrants.
