A previously deported illegal immigrant has been ordered jailed helping transport another Colombian

A previously deported illegal immigrant from Colombia has been ordered jailed after he was found in Essex County helping transport another Colombian to unlawfully enter the United States. Cristian Sandoval, 36, was found in the town of Canaan assisting another illegal immigrant that had crossed the border, Richard Bohorquez, 38, about 5 a.m. June 2, U.S. Border Patrol records show. Sandoval pleaded not guilty to the felony charge last Wednesday and he will remain detained at the Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans. Sandoval had been removed at least one other time in March 2019. He had arrived on a tourist visa, but ended up getting work, which was not allowed under the law.
