Another man has been accused of assaulting an employee at NVRH. Jayden VonDoemming, 25, pleaded not guilty on Monday to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Judge Michael R. Kainen released VonDoemming on personal recognizance. The doctor told police that it was the third time that week he had been assaulted in the Emergency Room. The alleged VonDoemming incident occurred on Aug. 29 at approximately 11:13 p.m. NVRH security guard Matthew Smith, 23, told police that Jayden was brought in by the St. Johnsbury Police Department earlier that day after a mental health incident. On Aug. 30, VonDoemming arrived at the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks with a Northeast Kingdom Human Services worker. VonDoemming faces a possible sentence of up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.
