A Vermont father and repeat offender sentenced in February
A Vermont father and repeat offender sentenced in February to 3 to 7 years in New Hampshire State Prison for the fatal crash in Littleton that killed his two young daughters could be eligible for work release after serving less than a year. On the evening of Dec. 5, 2021, Jordan Couture, 39, of Milton was driving a pickup truck at nearly 100 mph along northbound Interstate 93 and was under the influence of drugs when he lost control of his truck, which went off the road at Exit 44 and flipped onto its passenger side in the center median. The girls, Kyriana Couture, 10, and Kelsey Couture, 7, who were half-sisters, were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. They died at the scene of multiple blunt-impact injuries. During a plea and sentencing hearing on Feb. 20, Assistant Grafton County Attorney Antonio Barry said Couture has a 20-year criminal history in Vermont. Couture is not authorized to receive earned time sentence reductions.
