Bryanna Rooney was let out of jail in Federal Court on March 29

Bryanna Rooney was let out of jail in Federal Court on March 29. Rooney and two other suspects – Thomas Rooney and Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith – have been charged in federal court with conspiracy to distribute narcotics. The Government filed a motion for the detention of Bryanna Rooney, which was heard and granted on February 13. “The defendant allowed her home to be used for the purpose of furthering drug use and distribution, and the defendant was aware that the conspirators she invited into her home possessed and used weapons,” wrote U.S. Attorney Nikolas P. Kerest. “The conspiracy appears to have involved a murder and the disposition of the victim. The case is among the most serious charged in this district. The weight of the evidence against the defendant favors detention.” But then Attorney Robert Sussman of Williston filed a new motion to let Rooney out of jail. “Ms. Rooney has since been evaluated by Valley Vista and approved for placement,” wrote Attorney Sussman. “There will be a bed available for her. Rooney currently owns her residence, and so she will have a place to live after her stay at Valley Vista.”
