Burke Fall Festival Returns With ‘Wild Kingdom’ Celebration
The 37th Annual Burke Fall Festival is a beloved tradition celebrating Vermont’s foliage season.
Hosted by the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce, the festival takes place in East Burke Village, VT, on September 26th (it’s always on the last Saturday in September). A parade through the Village kicks things off at 10 a.m., and this year’s theme is ‘Wild Kingdom’. Leading the way as Grand Marshals will be the staff and students (aka: Kinglets) of Field, Farm & Forest, a nature-based pre-school located in Burke.
“It’s always a great day in the village,” said Burke Area Chamber of Commerce Administrator, Laura Malieswski. “There’s something for people of all ages to do, including wagon rides, live music, pony rides and a country barbecue. A highlight of the festival is the huge craft fair on the green with over 75 artisans selling their wares including jewelry, pottery, fine art, wood carvings, hand-knit items, specialty foods and more.”
After the parade, the Burke Chamber will announce the 2026 Burke Citizen of the Year (always a surprise). The award goes to someone who lives and/or works in Burke and often goes under the radar, quietly giving back to the community in various ways without expecting recognition.

The North Country Boys and Girls soccer teams will be in action tonight. The girls will travel to Montpelier for their 6pm kickoff while the boys will host undefeated BFA St. Albans at 4:30pm.
