Multiple Crashes Close I-89 South in St. Albans for Hours
Multiple crashes on slippery roads closed Interstate 89 southbound in the St. Albans area for several hours on Thursday morning. One crash at about 7:30 a.m. involved six vehicles. Troopers say three people were injured in that crash. There was a separate crash at the same time about a mile away when a tractor-trailer lost control on the slippery roads, hit three other vehicles, and caused an additional crash with a fourth vehicle. Three of those vehicles were towed from the scene. No one was injured in that crash. Police say the interstate was back open as of 11 a.m.
