St. Johnsbury Academy and fitness and recreation affiliate RecFit recently received a $5,000 grant

St. Johnsbury Academy and fitness and recreation affiliate RecFit recently received a $5,000 grant from the Vermont Community Foundation to support the RecFit HilltopperMTB Youth program. HilltopperMTB is an inclusive mountain bike race program for students in grades 5-12, run through St. Johnsbury Academy, and draws student-athletes from a diverse group of schools. The $5,000 grant will help HilltopperMTB lower fees, compensate coaches, and maintain their fleet of 20 free loaner mountain bikes. The Vermont Community Foundation, established in 1986, and its over 1,000 funds, foundations, and supporting organizations put more than $60 million annually to work, and are a key source of support for Vermont communities.
