Vermont State Police reported on Tuesday that a suspect in a Saturday hit-and-run car crash that damaged a car and took out power lines on Main Street in St. Johnsbury has been located. Andy Dwyer, 35, of St. Johnsbury, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation. The incident happened on Saturday night. Trooper Griffin Pearson stated Dwyer was driving a Ford F-250 south on Main Street erratically when the truck failed to maintain its lane, drove onto the sidewalk, struck and destroyed two power lines and crashed into a BMW 3281 driven by Brenna Goodine, 25, of Lyndon. The truck left the scene after crashing. Goodine’s vehicle sustained what Trooper Pearson called “severe” damage. Dwyer was cited to appear in Caledonia Superior Court.
