Driver of a tractor-trailer loaded with granite blocks was found to be operating too fast
The driver of a tractor-trailer loaded with granite blocks was found to be operating too fast for conditions in a crash at 5:24 a.m. on April 5. The Department of Motor Vehicles responded to the crash on Route 15 in Hardwick. Upon arrival, a tractor-trailer was found to have left the roadway in an uncontrolled fashion, overturning and coming rest on its side down an embankment. The granite blocks it was hauling were being shipped from Canada to Barre, Vt. The driver, Andre Pare, 58, of Waterville, Quebec, was not injured in the crash. Police stated the cause of the crash was found to be driver error.
