A horror film set in the NEK will soon be available on major streaming platforms
A horror film set in the NEK will soon be available on major streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime Video and Tubi, announced Christopher Wells, the writer, director and producer of “The Luring.” Shot largely in St. Johnsbury, Lyndonville and Barnet, the movie won Best Thriller at the Motor City Nightmares International Film Festival. The independent film “follows a man who tries to recover a lost memory by returning to his family’s Vermont vacation home, where an unspeakable act took place. It is now on Amazon Prime Video and soon to be many more platforms,” according to a press release. Wells said the film was inspired by the 1956 film “The Red Balloon.” In addition to major streaming services, Wells hopes to screen the film locally. Wells shot the film in 2017.
