Police say they have found the probable remains of Roberta Martin
Police say they have found the probable remains of Roberta Martin, 82, of Enosburgh, who went missing last week. State Police say they found what are believed to be Martin’s remains in a wooded area off Sand Hill Road around 11 a.m. Sunday, not far from her home. Investigators did not release any information on how Martin may have died. They said her remains were sent to the medical examiner’s office in Burlington. Police say no one is in custody. Martin went missing last week and police called her disappearance suspicious. She was last heard from by her family on Tuesday and was reported missing from her Butternut Hollow Road home on Wednesday. Troopers say the investigation is active and ongoing.Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the general area of Sand Hill Road and Butternut Hollow Road from 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, until noon on Wednesday, July 17.
