Concord man accused of assaulting 56-year-old mother of his girlfriend
A Concord man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend’s mother and breaking the woman’s phone so she couldn’t call for help. David Dupuis faces charges of domestic assault, interfering with access to emergency services and violating conditions of release. A report by State Trooper Gabriel Schrauf notes that on Tuesday night an intoxicated Dupuis choked the 56-year-old mother of his girlfriend “to the point of almost losing consciousness.” The woman said on a scale of one to 10 with 10 being the highest level of pain, she said the assault on her was a 7. The incident took place at the woman’s residence on Oregon Road where Dupuis had been staying. The trooper’s affidavit notes that when state police first arrived at her home the alleged victim was not helpful in providing his location inside the home. She tried to say he was in his car, but state police reportedly found Dupuis hiding in a bedroom.
