The town of Hartford has hired its next police chief. Lt. Commander Constance Kelley is being promoted after serving in various leadership roles at the Hartford police department for the last 26 years. “I am honored for the opportunity to serve the Hartford Police Department and community as Chief of Police. I am eager to lead the agency and continue to work with the incredible team we have here,” Kelley said in a statement. Kelley will succeed Chief Greg Sheldon who is resigning at the end of February. She will be sworn in on March 3.
