VSP Patrol on I 91 Stops 37 Vehicles Issues 22 Tickets for Violations

A Vermont State Police saturation patrol between Lyndon and St. Johnsbury on Interstate 91 on Tuesday brought 37 vehicles to a stop resulting in 22 tickets for motorists.  The objective was to identify and deter aggressive driving behaviors and to promote roadway safety. In addition to the tickets, there were warnings for 36 other motor vehicle infractions. Troopers ticketed two drivers for traveling over 90 MPH. Two operators were issued tickets for operating without a driver’s license. One operator was issued a ticket for operating with a suspended driver’s license. Multiple operators received tickets for operating vehicles with expired registrations and/or expired inspection stickers. One vehicle was towed after it was determined that the license plates were not assigned to the vehicle.
