Along With Celebration, Oktoberfest Seeks To Raise More Money For Local Nonprofits

LITTLETON — Last year, Oktoberfest raised nearly $20,000 for local nonprofits, and its organizers from Schilling Beer Co. are aiming to build on that as they host what has become an annual celebration in downtown.

During Monday’s Select Board meeting, board members voted unanimously to close Mill and Porter streets and parking lot B for the day-long event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26.

It will be Schilling’s 13th Oktoberfest in Littleton, where Schilling was launched in 2013.

“Oktoberfest is an anniversary celebration, but it’s turned into much more than that,” Scott Bluni, sales director for Schilling, said in a presentation to the Select Board. “It’s an opportunity for us to bring in breweries that typically the North Country will not see into Littleton and give our local community a chance to try some of the best beer in the world. We have breweries from South America, Canada, Europe, and all states in between coming to Littleton to show what they can do for a day.”

For 2026, Oktoberfest will feature 50 breweries from 19 U.S. states and four nations, offering many beer styles.
