Justin Rich, a 31-year-old from Greensboro Bend, faces charges for molesting three girls and sexually assaulting another, dating from 2015 to 2017. Despite prosecutor Claire Burns’ request for detainment without bail, defense attorney Sam Swope succeeded in obtaining release for Rich under his father’s custody, backed by a $5,000 secured bond. The alleged incidents occurred while Rich was babysitting, with victims aged between 8 and 12. In a 2020 letter, Rich apologized for his actions, also claiming he had undergone similar experiences as a child. If convicted, Rich could face a sentence of up to 65 years and $25,000 in fines.
