The Museum of Everyday Life in Glover is a trove of ordinary objects

The Museum of Everyday Life in Glover, built by Clare Dolan and friends, is a trove of ordinary objects with extraordinary stories. As a celebration of ordinariness, Dolan believes the museum helps visitors reflect on their place in the universe. Last year, the museum started engaging local teens as docents, offering unique cultural exposure and employment opportunities. Fiona, a 13-year-old from Glover Middle School, is a docent who guides visitors, shaping their perceptions of everyday objects. Inspired by her experience, Fiona creates zines—mini magazines—full of collages and poems. The museum encourages the notion that anyone can create art and contribute to culture.
