Another section of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail will reopen this weekend

Gov. Phil Scott announced Wednesday that another section of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail will reopen this weekend. “This Saturday we will open up another section of the trail from Wolcott to Hardwick.” said Scott.  The section to be reopened will add another 6.4 miles of rideable trail, bringing the total to 79.5 miles open out of the 94-mile trail. The remaining closed section is the 14-mile stretch from Walden Heights into Hardwick. Scott had previously reported that some parts of the LVRT may take until next year to be fully repaired.
