A fire destroyed a home in the Northeast Kingdom

 A fire destroyed a home in the Northeast Kingdom early Thursday morning. It happened in the village of North Troy. The fire chief said no one was home and no one was injured. However, the house is a total loss despite crews getting the blaze under control quickly. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
