A Hardwick man has been charged with felony assault and robbery

A Hardwick man has been charged with felony assault & robbery after he allegedly car-jacked a woman’s vehicle. Forrest Foster Jr, 42, failed to appear in court on Monday, and Judge Michael R. Kainen issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday. Foster has also been charged with felony aggravated vehicle operation without the owner’s consent. On Aug. 18 at 7:21 a.m., Vermont State Police were contacted by the alleged victim, Ashley McManus, 43, who told police she was assaulted and her vehicle was stolen. Her cell phone and her bank cards were also in her vehicle, which was a black 2020 Kia Sportage. Foster Jr. is facing a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
