A man from Barnet was arrested on Wednesday and held in jail after being accused of attempted sexual assault. Shawn Bourn, 33, was scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court for arraignment on Thursday, and answer to charges of attempted sexual assault, lewd and lascivious conduct and simple assault. Det. Trooper Kyle Fecher reported that state police received a report of the alleged crimes on Tuesday and began an investigation that led to the charges against Bourn. After his arrest he was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury.
