A man from the town of Victory was acting wild on the Millers Run Bridge

A man from the town of Victory was acting wild on the Millers Run Bridge on Friday and allegedly assaulted a truck driver. Ashtin Charland, 20, failed to appear in Court on Monday to be arraigned on a felony charge of impeding a public officer and misdemeanor charges of simple assault on a protected professional, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Judge Michael R. Kainen issued an arrest warrant with $500 bail. Police said their investigation showed that Charland was kicked out of a truck on the bridge because he was too intoxicated and ended up jumping onto another truck and began punching the driver. Charland faces a possible sentence of over six years in prison and $2,500 in fines.
