An arrest warrant has been issued for accused kidnapper

An arrest warrant has been issued for accused kidnapper and attempted murder suspect Mack Varnum. It’s only been a week since Varnum was released from jail after someone posted $50,000 bail. But when Vermont State Police went to do a compliance check at Varnum’s residence in Peacham this week, he was not there. The state has now charged Varnum, 45, with violating conditions of release due to his 24-hour curfew at his residence at 21 Varnum Road in Peacham. Varnum and his co-defendant, Nichole Cloutier, 37, are accused of kidnapping Colleen Rodriguez, 33, in February. Both Varnum and Cloutier face possible sentences of up to life in prison.
