An August 13-foot pursuit resulted in a Bradford man evading police by leaping off a steep embankment into a heavily-wooded area. Dylan Pike, 27, homeless from the Bradford area, had warrants out for his arrest when police encountered him at 10:35 a.m. on KD Welch Service Road in Bradford. Police say Pike fled on foot from officers towards the Bradford Post Office. A short pursuit ensued, ending with Pike leaping off the embankment. Bradford Police applied for an additional arrest warrant for Pike for resisting arrest and violating the Vt. Sex Offender Registry. He was already wanted on outstanding warrants for the above charges. Pike is known to frequent the Bradford area but is listed as homeless.
