LITTLETON—Authorities on Tuesday confirmed that a person who was shot to death along Pleasant Street late Monday night was the driver of the car who had repeatedly rammed the car of the other driver who had called 9-1-1- for assistance before he fired the shots. On Tuesday afternoon, after an autopsy was completed, they named the deceased — Eric Rexford, 38, of Littleton, who has a criminal history in Littleton that includes assault and criminal mischief. In a joint press release, New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, New Hampshire State Police Col. Mark Hall, and Littleton Police Chief Paul Smith said the cause of Rexford’s death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death a homicide. The name of the shooter, however, was not released, and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. No further information was expected to be released
