Brandon Thrailkill Appointed Caledonia County Sheriff by Governor Phil Scott

Brandon Thrailkill of Lyndonville has been appointed Caledonia County Sheriff following the passing of Sheriff James Hemond earlier this spring. The appointment was made by Gov. Phil Scott, who selected Thrailkill from three candidates. Thrailkill has served as a law enforcement officer for over 13 years. He began his career as a patrol officer with the Lyndonville Police Department before joining the CCSD as a state transport deputy. He was promoted to lieutenant and then captain at the Sheriff’s Department and has led the department since Hemond’s death. Thrailkill’s appointment is effective immediately, and a swearing-in ceremony is expected at Caledonia Superior Court later this week.
